2016 World Ayahuasca Conference videos

2016 World Ayahuasca Conference videos

On the one year anniversary of the second World Ayahuasca Conference, we’re thrilled to be launching the conference videos. Just 12 short months ago 750 people from 33 countries gathered in Rio Branco, Brazil, in the heart of the Amazon to honor the diversity of ayahuasca practices. Over the course of a week, prejudices and barriers were dissolved into a melting pot of exhibitions, debates, discussions, films, documentaries, painting, music, dancing and a tapestry of emotions. Words fail to summarize the quality of the learning, discoveries, surprises as well as disappointments that the participants of AYA2016 took back home with them. What is certain is that after the first two editions of the World Ayahuasca Conference (in 2014 and 2016) is that we are now a small community that evokes a kind of intergalactic spirit when we are reunited. Individuals and small groups with ethnic, religious, spiritual, professional, geographic, and cultural differences feel reverence and fascination for the same plant. For a full week, the Federal University of Acre (UFAC) became the world epicenter of ayahuasca. Now, we have indelible memories, friendships that will never be broken, and alliances that will change environments, stories and worldviews. As a record of this historic event, we have some remarkable texts, such as the letters of conclusions from The Traditional Centers of the Chamber of Ayahuasca Cultures of Rio Branco and the Indigenous Peoples of Acre Charter. And now, we’re pleased to be sharing more than 40 videos of presentions and panel discussions. We invite you to enter and get lost in the thousands of ideas that were shared at UFAC. Unfortunately, we do not have the simultaneous translation audio so that in the title of each of the videos you can see the language; if it doesn’t say anything it is in Portuguese, otherwise it will say either “English” or “Spanish.” If you are able to volunteer or support translation, please do not hesitate to contact ICEERS. We want these videos to be enjoyed, so please share these gems of knowledge widely in your networks – and we will see you at the third World Ayahuasca Conference, stay tuned for details!
